Frances Yip did oodles and oodles of doodles as a child; while on the phone, in class, or at home.  Her doodles took her to California State University in L.A., where she majored in Arts and Crafts.  She knew that God gave her the gift of drawing, but she didn't know what to do with it until she met other artists at craft fairs who encouraged her to make her designs into magnets.  Her characters make people smile, thus the business name, "Smilin' from Ear to Ear."  She stays very busy making T-shirts, framed prints, keyrings & other craft items.
