Michael
Swearngin
was born in Olathe, Kansas, the first stop on the north end of the
Santa Fe Trail just outside Kansas City. He credits his grandfather,
Lowell Swearngin and his father, Charles Swearngin, for teaching him
the ways of the cattleman and the rancher. As an artist, his
work portrays the contemporary cowboy in settings that depict both
the serene and rugged spirit of the American West. He currently
makes his home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Michael gives thanks to God for his life as an artist and for his
many gifts. He is grateful to his family, friends, and to the
cowboys who have supported his art career. His hope is that
his faith illuminates his work moving observers to reflect upon their
own experiences and enrich the lives of others. |
